After graduating from UCLA with a degree in biology, I spent a year as a research assistant for a best-selling financial author.  I entered the insurance business focusing on health and life insurance.  Blue Cross (now Anthem) selected me to be on their first Advisory Council, on which I served for over 10 years. In 1986, I received my Chartered Life Underwriter degree from the American College.   I have been a Million Dollar Round Table member for 40 years.

I worked in Encino with Michael Sauthier for over 30 years.  His death inspired me to establish a mentoring scholarship in Mike’s name with Pearls Of Hope.

I live in Agoura Hills with my wife, Lourdes, a retired schoolteacher, and her 98-year-old mother, who moved in "temporarily" after the Northridge Earthquake. I drive for Meals on Wheels on Tuesdays and am an assistant coach in youth baseball. I am a member of American Mensa and enjoy trying to play tennis and attempting to fish.
