I began my studies at UCLA while I was in high school and graduated with a degree in biology. Initially, I used my degree to analyze mysterious leftovers in the refrigerator.
Then, I thought that helping people buy health and life insurance might be a rewarding career. Blue Cross (now Anthem) selected me for their very first Advisory Council, where I served for over 10 years, helping shape programs and initiatives that improved the experience for members and agents alike. I earned my Chartered Life Underwriter degree from The American College in 1986, and I’ve been a Million Dollar Round Table member for 41 years.
My Story
I worked in Encino with Michael Sauthier for over 30 years. His death I worked in Encino with my longtime friend and colleague Michael Sauthier for over 45 years. After his passing, I created a mentoring scholarship in his name through Pearls of Hope to honor his legacy of professionalism and coaching.

To continue the tradition of caring, competence, and character that Mike and I built, I joined The Benefit Center. I’m excited and grateful to now be part of Fitzpatrick’s high-touch, high-tech practice - the perfect blend of personal service and “please don’t make me update another app.”

I live in Agoura Hills with my wife, Lourdes, a retired schoolteacher, and her 99-year-old mother, who moved in “temporarily” after the Northridge Earthquake in 1994. I drive for Meals on Wheels, and I also serve as an assistant coach in youth baseball, where I try to remind kids which direction to run when their noses aren’t. I enjoy trying to play tennis and attempting to fish - activities in which my friends have consistently voted me “most likely to be most improved.”
